Robert L. Baron, D.P.M. has been affiliated with MRI Professionals since 2003. Initially providing over reads of foot and ankle studies ordered by podiatric physicians, Dr. Baron now provides the initial interpretation for most of the foot and ankle studies for MRI Professionals in Elk Grove Village and Palatine. 

Dr. Baron is a 1981 graduate of the Illinois (now Scholl) College of Podiatric Medicine which is part of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science located in North Chicago. He started teaching in the radiology department of the college on 1983 and was named chairman of the department in 1985. Currently, Dr. Baron is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He was authored and co-authored numerous professional articles and several book chapters and has served as a U.S. editor for the international journal, the Foot Dr. Baron is also a noted speaker who has presented at many national, regional, state and local professional meetings. 

He is a former president of both the American College of Podiatric Radiologists and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr. Baron also served for many years on the Board of Directors of the American College Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and presently serves the board as Section Head of written examination committee.

. Dr. Baron has also completed a visiting fellowship in musculoskeletal MRI through Pro Scan Imaging in Cincinnati, Ohio under Stephen Pomeranz, M.D.
