Keeping you Safe and Comfortable During Your Open MRI

  • If your doctor has recommended an MRI you may feel a little apprehension or fear.. This is a normal reaction, especially if this is your first MRI and you are not sure what to expect. Both MRI Professionals locations provide our patients with a relaxing, friendly, Open MRI setting that allows most of our patients to complete their exams with ease! For a small percentage of our patients undergoing an MRI, claustrophobia is an issues and they may need some extra help to undergo an MRI scan.
     
  • If you suffer from claustrophobia we can help you put your mind at ease throughout the procedure by providing a safe and comfortable experience. Please share any concerns about your test with any of our helpful, friendly staff.
     
  • Aromatherapy can be provided by your technologist to help calm and relax you during your procedure. Just ask!
     
  • Bring your own CD or listen to one of ours! Music can be a very helpful relaxation technique.
     
  • Bring a friend or family member to accompany you during your scan! The presence of a loved one brings great peace of mind. Remember that all persons entering the MRI scan room must be pre-screened for metal implants and other contraindications.
     
  • Patients who suffer from severe claustrophobia may want to ask their physician about pre-medication or twilight anesthesia or the exam.
