If
your doctor has recommended an MRI you may feel a little
apprehension or fear.. This is a normal reaction,
especially if this is your first MRI and you are not
sure what to expect. Both MRI Professionals locations
provide our patients with a relaxing, friendly, Open MRI
setting that allows most of our patients to complete
their exams with ease! For a small percentage of our
patients undergoing an MRI, claustrophobia is an issues
and they may need some extra help to undergo an MRI
scan.

If you
suffer from claustrophobia we can help you put your mind
at ease throughout the procedure by providing a safe and
comfortable experience. Please share any concerns about
your test with any of our helpful, friendly staff.

Aromatherapy can be provided by your technologist to
help calm and relax you during your procedure. Just ask!

Bring
your own CD or listen to one of ours! Music can be a
very helpful relaxation technique.

Bring
a friend or family member to accompany you during your
scan! The presence of a loved one brings great peace of
mind. Remember that all persons entering the MRI scan
room must be pre-screened for metal implants and other
contraindications.

Patients who suffer from severe claustrophobia may want
to ask their physician about pre-medication or
twilight anesthesia or the
exam.

Children undergoing an MRI may need to be medicated in
