If Your Doctor
Orders Twilight Anesthesia
-
Please inform
our office if your doctor has ordered anesthesia for your exam.
Your MRI will need to be pre-scheduled with one of STAT's
anesthetists.
-
To arrange for
STAT to provide sedation for your MRI inform your doctor that
you are interested in Twilight Anesthesia. You must have a valid
prescription for anesthesia from your physician.
-
STAT
Anesthesia, provides licensed anesthetists dedicated to the
specialty of office based anesthesia care. Keeping you safe and
comfortable during your procedure is a responsibility they take
very seriously.
-
During
Twilight Anesthesia you are kept sedated throughout the
procedure providing a relaxed and comfortable state throughout
your MRI.
-
When it is
over typically you are easily awakened for a speedy discharge to
recover in the comfort of your own home. This is known as
Fast-Track Anesthesia. A cost effective alternative to the
hospital. Side effects such as nausea, vomiting, sore throat or
disorientation that are typically associated with hospital-based
General Anesthesia are virtually non-existent with Twilight
Anesthesia in the office setting.
In fact,
most patients walk out of the office feeling so awake and
comfortable, they can hardly believe they just had anesthetic!
-
STAT
accepts most
insurance companies and Medicare.
-
Services from
STAT Anesthesia will be billed separately from your MRI. If
applicable, STAT will bill your insurance carrier for your
anesthesia service and supplies.
